Anthony David Gonzalez is a former American football tight end, who played in the National Football League for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is regarded as among the greatest tight ends in history. In addition to being the NFL's leader for receiving yards and third-highest total of receptions, Gonzalez was also among the NFL tight end who had the most receptions.
Tony Gonzalez, a former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro Tight End currently works as a FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez has appeared on FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's one-hour NFL pregame broadcast prior to FOX NFL the SUNRISE) and is broadcast every Sunday at 11:00AM ET through the NFL season.
Gonzalez was released by the Falcons on March 15 2013. He signed a contract that was of $14 million for two years. He did this even though he claimed that he was going to retire at the end of the season. Randy Moss retiring, Gonzalez's 37th season marked his final as NFL receiving yard leader.
